Let’s face it, there’s just too many photos out there, and for every great photo of a friend or loved one, you can probably pull out twenty more photos just as interesting. Thankfully, the craft of hand drawn and painted portraiture still holds a compelling sway over our imaginations – transforming even the most modest snapshot into something that families can treasure forever, and making everyone stop and take a look.
Images come alive when drawn and painted, and even everyday scenes seem to be interpreted with more emotion and warmth than the simple “click” of a camera shutter can offer. I’ve often had many of my clients tell me how the drawings they commissioned brought tears to their recipient’s eyes; and that’s not because they haven’t seen the image before (often I work from people’s favorite photos) – it’s because they’ve suddenly been given something much more precious and rare.
“The portrait you drew of Fletcher and Tiff is so beautifully done. You were able to catch their expressions and the joy they felt on their special day… Thank you again for your masterful, creative hand… ”

“Two years ago my cousin was blessed with triplets, and I wanted to give her a wonderful Christmas gift for the babies’ first Christmas. They had photos taken of the babies, but given the fact that they were only 3 months old, none of them were posed to be looking in the same direction. I gave Ian the group photo, along with individual photos of the babies- and he put together the most perfect print ever! I had it framed and my cousin absolutely LOVED it! They hung it on a special wall in their home, for everyone to see. Thank you Ian! Your work is absolutely fantastic!”

“I had a drawing done of my nephew for my sister a few years back for Christmas. When she opened it she started crying and shaking because she loved it so much. It is now the focal point of her living room. When I had my daughter I knew I needed to get one done of her and my newphew together to give to my father of his only grandchildren. He loves having a piece of art for his house that also shows off his grandkids. You did an amazing job Ian. I will definitely come to you in the future.”

“The Portraits you produced for me and my family are undoubtedly the best illustration of my good taste since my proposal to my wife. We display them prominently and (they) are usually the first thing that greets visitors to our home which reflects well on us all…”
